Feature Spotlight #44 - Sarah Paty

Leading with Grace, Grit, and Unshakable Integrity.

This week, Her.Collective is proud to shine the spotlight on a woman who has earned her place at the top through decades of dedication, a heart for people, and a fierce commitment to doing things the right way. Meet Sarah Paty, President of Trinity Title of Texas, a dynamic leader based in North Texas, who’s spent more than 20 years shaping the future of title insurance through strategy, strength, and a servant’s heart.

A Summer Job That Became a Calling.

Sarah’s journey into title wasn’t planned—it was personal. She began working in the business as a summer job, thanks to her mother, Cheryl Finney. But it didn’t take long for Sarah to realize there was something deeper here. She was drawn to the fast pace, the people, and the profound role the title industry plays in people’s biggest life transitions.

She started from the ground up and never stopped learning. “What began as a summer job quickly became something more,” she reflects. “I found a place where I could grow, lead, and make an impact.”

Today, as President of Trinity Title, Sarah oversees company operations, strategic direction, and client relationships. Her expertise in risk management, regulatory compliance, and team leadership is matched only by her deep understanding of what it takes to guide people through meaningful work.

A Legacy of Mentorship—and Mentors.

For Sarah Paty, leadership was modeled long before it was practiced. Her earliest inspiration came from her mother, Cheryl Finney, who introduced her to the title industry. “She showed me what it means to lead with integrity and compassion,” Sarah reflects. “Watching her stand firm in her values while caring deeply for people shaped how I lead today.”

Her greatest mentor, though, has been her father, Larry Finney. “He never gave me easy answers—he asked the right questions,” she says. His quiet strength, integrity, and steady guidance laid the foundation for Sarah’s approach to leadership. “When I doubted myself, he reminded me of my strength. When I succeeded, he reminded me to stay grounded. His wisdom still echoes in how I lead.”

Another pivotal influence in Sarah’s journey has been John Dwyer. “He didn’t just open doors—he trusted me to walk through them and lead.” In a male-dominated industry, his belief in her potential gave her the confidence and space to grow into her role as an executive. “John pushed me to think bigger, lead bolder, and trust my instincts.”

Together, these mentors shaped Sarah’s values, confidence, and leadership philosophy.

“We don’t rise alone. I am who I am because others believed in me—and now it’s my turn to be that for someone else.”

Balancing the Boardroom and the Homefront.

For Sarah, one of the greatest challenges has been learning to balance professional drive with personal presence. “Being fully present at work without sacrificing the time and energy my family deserves isn’t easy,” she admits. “But I’ve learned that taking care of myself isn’t selfish—it’s necessary if I want to show up well for my husband, kids, and team.”

Her approach to leadership is grounded in consistency, not perfection. “There’s no such thing as perfect balance. I’ve found peace in giving myself permission to pause, reset, and be where my feet are.”

Advice to Women Entering the Industry.

Sarah encourages young women in title to start at the foundation. “Learn every part of the business. The more you understand—from the front desk to the closing table—the more confident you’ll be.”

And when it comes to showing up? “Don’t wait to be invited to the table. Bring your own chair. Speak up, ask questions, and find mentors who challenge and support you.”

Weathering the Storms and Growing from Them.

Sarah’s “why” is deeply rooted in her belief that strength comes from struggle. “What’s kept me going is knowing I can do hard things—and do them well,” she says. “A calm sea never made a skilled sailor. It’s in the unexpected turns where you really grow.” Her clarity, confidence, and consistency have been forged in challenge—and it’s made her an unshakable force in title.

Books, Podcasts, and Grounded Growth.

Sarah finds growth in the voices of leaders and thinkers who challenge her. A few of her favorite books include:

  • Atomic Habits by James Clear

  • The Hard Thing About Hard Things by Ben Horowitz

  • Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki

As for podcasts, she tunes into:

  • Craig Groeschel Leadership Podcast

  • Vanessa Van Edwards

  • Mark Driscoll

These voices help sharpen her leadership lens and keep her grounded in intentional growth.

Grace Under Pressure.

When it comes to handling difficult people, Sarah leads with steadiness. “I don’t match intensity with intensity—I meet it with clarity and boundaries,” she says. “Confidence doesn’t mean being loud; it means being firm, fair, and unwilling to back down from what’s right.” Her advice to women: “Stay composed under pressure. Don’t let someone else’s behavior dictate your own.”

Leading With Heart and High Character.

Sarah believes our industry needs more leaders who focus not just on profit, but on people. “Doing the right thing—even when it’s hard—matters. I’ve always tried to lead with integrity and lift others as I climb.”

She knows that trust and relationships are the real currency in title. “Long-term success isn’t about the next closing—it’s about how you treat people.”

Faith, Family, and Her Why.

Sarah’s strength comes from deep roots. “My faith is my foundation,” she says. “Prayer, reflection, and spiritual grounding keep me steady—especially when things feel uncertain.”

Her husband, Justin, is her partner in every way. “He’s my constant support and sounding board.” Together, they’re raising two boys, Case (14) and Cam (10)—who inspire her daily to lead with love and purpose.

Her village extends beyond family, to a circle of truth-speaking friends and family who show up with support, honesty, and a whole lot of love.

Passions Beyond the Office.

Away from the office, Sarah finds peace in the outdoors. “I love hunting, fishing, and being outside with my family. I also have a passion for travel and old architecture—there’s something inspiring about places that have stood the test of time.”

Sarah’s not a big fan of crowds, but she made an exception for one artist: George Strait at Kyle Field. “That was my first concert—and it was unforgettable. His music just feels like home.”

Living Her Word: Integrity.

If there’s one word that defines Sarah’s leadership, it’s integrity. “It means doing the right thing—even when no one is watching. Success isn’t just about the deal. It’s about the reputation and legacy you leave behind.”

Building a Legacy That Lasts.

Sarah hopes her legacy will be one of grace, purpose, and people-first leadership.

“I want to be remembered as someone who created space for others to grow and succeed without losing who they are. In a business driven by speed, I hope I’m remembered for slowing down long enough to care.”

Final Words for the Women of Her.Collective.

“At the end of the day, I’m just someone who showed up, worked hard, stayed rooted in faith, and led with heart. If my story reminds even one woman that she can lead with strength and grace—and still be fully herself—then it’s worth sharing.”

Thank you, Sarah Paty, for being a bold and steady presence in title, a builder of people and purpose, and a Woman of Title we are so proud to spotlight. You lead with grit, but always with grace—and that’s exactly what makes you unforgettable!
