Marlen’s career began in the bustling city of Miami, where she transitioned from managing lien departments in a law office to stepping into the closing department—a move that changed her trajectory forever. “When I transitioned to the closing department, we secured a massive national account, and I knew this was where I belonged. From then on, ‘no guts, no glory’ became my mantra,” Marlen shares.

Her early career saw her rise to leadership roles, including becoming the majority owner and president of a title company at a remarkably young age. She built that company from a small office into a thriving enterprise with over 30 employees and multiple branches.

The financial crisis of 2008 tested Marlen’s fortitude. She faced immense personal and

professional losses, downsizing her company and rebuilding from scratch. Yet, she persevered, eventually taking on regional leadership roles for Florida’s largest independent title agency. By 2014, she was the president of a joint venture, where she expanded operations and achieved consistent growth.

In 2021, Marlen embarked on her most ambitious venture yet: founding New Dawn Title Group, aptly named to symbolize her new beginning. “It was time for a new chapter,” she explains. “I wanted to create a company that wasn’t just about transactions but about connection, communication, and compassion.”

Mentorship and Community

Marlen’s impact extends beyond her business acumen. She has mentored countless individuals, many of whom have gone on to start their own successful title companies. Her commitment to building others up is rooted in her belief that collaboration, not competition, drives true progress.

A particularly poignant moment came when her former team surprised her with a birthday celebration, expressing how much her guidance had shaped their careers. “It was humbling to hear how much I’ve influenced others’ lives,” she says.
